Learn More About Ocala Attorney J. Melanie Slaughter

A graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, I have been licensed to practice law since 1992. Before I opened my own firm, I served as an Assistant State Attorney in Ocala. In this position, I gained substantial trial experience in felony and misdemeanor cases. More than this, I gained insight on how prosecutors prepare their cases. Today, I use this insight to give my criminal defense clients the best opportunity for success.

In addition to my criminal defense practice, I represent clients in divorce and other family law matters. I know just how much is riding on the outcome of your divorce or custody issue and will work diligently to help you to find lasting solutions.

Whether you have a family or criminal issue, you may feel as though your life is spinning out of control. I want my clients to feel some measure of control over their case. I emphasize open lines of communication with my clients, and make myself available to answer questions and address your concerns.
